Vadora is a self-guided audio walking tour where you're the main character of a story, not a passive listener. You press play, walk at your own pace, and start the next chapter yourself once you reach the next stop. No tour guide, no group, no fixed schedule.
Two things. First the practical part: it opens in your browser — no app to install, no account, no booking — and you keep your own pace, pausing or replaying any chapter. Second, the writing: each tour is built chapter by chapter as a story you walk through, with places, dates and names checked against sources, rather than a list of facts laid over a map.
Yes — the audio streams as you go, so you need a mobile connection along the route. There's nothing to install and no account to create: you open the link in your browser and press play. Offline playback is something we want to offer, but it isn't available today, so plan for a data connection.
It doesn't decide for you — you do. The map shows where you are and how far the next stop is, and when you get there you tap to start the next chapter. That's deliberate: nothing interrupts you mid-thought because a timer ran out, and you can linger anywhere you like.
It varies by tour — the shorter ones run around half an hour, most sit between one and two hours, and a few go longer. Each tour shows its own length before you start. There's no clock running: you can pause between chapters, sit down for coffee, or replay a stop.
The catalog is the honest answer — it lists every tour that's live right now, grouped by city, and it's the same list this page pulls from. Today that spans cities in Germany and across Europe, with new ones added as they're finished. Each city has its own set of story-first audio tours.
